She found it in her nightstand drawer: a hand-finished walnut case with three fitted slots, each one shaped precisely for a device she had never once mentioned to him. An avocado. A lemon. A raspberry.
1. “did you leave this thing at mine?”
The text exchange she posted explains everything. “Yea made it for you 😂,” he replied. He’d found her toys stashed in the back of the bathroom cabinet while fixing it, and “thought you could use an organizer.”
When she admitted she was embarrassed, that she’d been hiding them because an ex once made her feel ashamed for owning them at all, his answer was the line the whole internet screenshotted: “you shouldn’t feel ashamed.”
2. The internet had exactly one dissent and a thousand hearts.
3. About those three fruits.
The trio in the fitted slots is Nancy’s Tutti Frutti set: Lem (air-pulse, the classic), Avo (stronger motor), and Berri (gentle tapping). Three different mechanisms, which is why a collection, and apparently a display case, makes sense: what works on a stressed Tuesday isn’t what works on a slow Sunday.
The set is $179 versus $283 bought separately. Woodworking boyfriend not included, but the entire point of his gesture stands: these are designed to be owned without apology.
